Jeanne Zeiger's practice is concentrated on insurance coverage litigation and appellate practice. She has represented insurers, insureds, agents and brokers in a wide variety of coverage disputes raised under general liability, excess, wrap-up, builders risk, property, homeowners, business auto, personal auto, garage, truckers, workers compensation and employers liability, professional liability and title policies. Her work includes advice to insurers and handling coverage litigation regarding tender issues, policy language, statutory requirements, development of specific policy provisions, contribution, subrogation and other claims issues.
A graduate of Washington University School of Law (J.D. 1979) and the University of Iowa (B.S. 1975), Jeanne was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 1979. She is also admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the U.S. District Court for the Central District of Illinois. She is a member of the Chicago Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association.
Jeanne's reported cases include London Underwriters v. Hartford Fire Ins. Co. 234 Ill.App.3d 70, 599 N.E.2d 1311 (1st Dist 1992) and she has lectured on "Targeted Tenders After Burns" for the Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel and The Insurance School of Chicago.
