Biography

Chris Clanin focuses his practice in the defense and counseling of companies in the retail, restaurant, and hospitality industries in matters concerning premises liability, product liability, transportation litigation, food-borne illness, pharmacy law, security issues, and wrongful death. Chris is involved in all phases of the litigation process, including through trial and appeals.

Chris graduated cum laude from Northern Illinois University College of Law in 2015 and received his bachelor’s degree from Northern Illinois University in 2011. He is a member of the Illinois Bar and admitted to practice before the United States District Court of the Northern District of Illinois.

Chris has prior experience in tort defense, transportation contracting, and appellate work. He also interned for the Chicago Aldermanic Office, 2nd Ward.

Chris is an active member in the Illinois Bar Association, Chicago Bar Association, and DuPage Bar Association.

Representative Matters

Chris has drafted and argued multiple substantive motions, including motions for summary judgment and transfer of venue. He has extensive arbitration experience in both Cook and DuPage counties. He has tried cases to verdict as well as successfully participated in a number of pretrial settlement conferences and mediations for his clients.
