Kanav Bhatheja recently obtained a no liability verdict in a three-day trial that took place in the United States Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Kanav represented a national home improvement retail chain in this lawsuit where the Plaintiff alleged the retail chain failed to properly secure large merchandise from falling on his leg/foot. The Plaintiff alleged that his foot was permanently damaged as a result of the accident. The trial involved testimony from fact witnesses and medical/retail safety experts. After less than two hours of deliberations, the jury returned a verdict of no liability on behalf of the retail chain.
